All Night Prayer Stopped Hamas
On a recent Philip’s House tour, we gave away gifts to members of an Ethiopian community who live on the border of Gaza.
These are Orthodox Jews who are refugees who did Aliyah (immigration) to Israel, and many of them are just beginning to make their way into Israeli society. Hamas attacked their kibbutz.
But these are people of great faith. They cried out to God to save their community, and their community was spared from the attack from Hamas.
We saw such deep appreciation as we shared the simple gift of a token, like a voucher, where they could go and buy shoes for their kids. It was so moving to watch the kids play with the little toys and to watch the parents just so grateful, shaking our hands, wanting us to go and have food with them.
It's a time in Israel when the doors are wide open to do good.
This country needs, first of all, for us to be the good news before we speak the good news. And it's a privilege not only to stand with Israel but to stay in Israel.
I can't think of a better time to be in Israel than right now because doors are really wide open.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and God will bless you.
